Board of education's message

Dear ICCCS Parents:

Assalamualaikum WarahmatuAllahi Wabarakaatuh

It is with great excitement and enthusiasm we, the Board of Education (BOE), welcome you to the 2021-22 school year and to the ICCCS Family. We are thankful to Allah and happy that we were able to begin on-site school as scheduled after a long break amid great challenges.

This year, the school has started with a new BOE that consists of six members from diverse backgrounds with extensive experience in their fields; you can see their profiles on our school website. Together, we bring a plethora of knowledge, experience and dedication that our school has possibly never seen before, mashaAllah. We have achieved a lot within a very short time alhamduliAllah and we will continue to bring further improvements in all areas. Each of your children is an amanah to us, and we want to assure you that your most precious ones are in good hands inshaAllah. It is worth mentioning that the BOE members are all “volunteers” who are dedicating precious time from their busy life for the sake of Allah to provide our children with quality education in an Islamic environment. You all will be introduced to the BOE members in person soon inshaAllah. The BOE, parents, teachers, and the whole community are one body and we must remain united and committed for the sake of Allah for our success.

Feedback from parents and students is essential for our school's success. We encourage all parents to provide their constructive suggestions that may enable us to improve the quality of our school. You can use the Feedback form on our website at the link, or complete a comments form available at the school office and give it to our Principal, Ms Amal Taher. Please note that we have provided an option for you to remain anonymous if you use the Feedback form on our website. We assure you that every feedback will be reviewed by the BOE and someone will get back to you within 3 days, if you provide us your contact information. The new BOE has also adopted an open door policy for ease of communication and each and every one of you can access any of the BOE members at any time inshaAllah. We have created an email address so that you can easily reach the BOE members. In addition, we would be happy to set up a face to face meeting if you desire such. We would also like to emphasize that any school platform for communication, for example, the "ICCCS Families" WhatsApp group is not an open forum for expressing any personal opinion; rather, it’s purpose is to keep all parents informed of the various updates from the school and for making announcements.

The new BOE is determined to run this school as a professional organization with high standards. Our commitment is to put our students first. We adopted a policy of hiring only highly qualified staff and teachers through proper evaluation by the Principal and the BOE, keeping in mind what's best for our children. We are investing more to attract top talents and building a team of professionals who are committed to the student’s academic performance and the school's success. If any of you come across highly qualified candidates, we request that you bring that to the Principal’s attention. This way, each and every one of you can contribute positively towards our ultimate goal.

The BOE values and promotes diversity and inclusion of Muslims from every corner of the world, regardless of social and economic status, linguistic capability, or ethnicity. Islam is universal, and our values shall align with the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) who in his last sermon stated, “All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also, a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over a white – except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood.” As a professionally run organization, the BOE firmly rejects any notion towards race superiority and "us" vs. "them" mindset.

The Board is committed to unifying the community around a shared vision for our school. We as a community must work together to create a culture that embraces positive changes to move towards better education and Islamic manners for our children. We shall stay united and steadfast in the face of hardship and face the challenges as a team, as a community, as one Ummah under the banner of Islam.

Creating a thriving non-profit school demands tremendous amount of hard work and copious amount of funds. We request you to continue donating towards our shared goal to provide our children with the quality education and the bright future they deserve. In addition, be an advocate for your school, spread the message, and encourage your friends and family to enroll their children. If we work together, we will receive the help from Allah and we will make a difference inshaAllah.

The BOE appreciates all of you for trusting us with your greatest amanah, and we promise to do our best with total transparency, honesty and sincerity. At the same time, we are all humans and prone to error; thereby, if any of us make a mistake, help us overcome it and let us stay united amid any of our differences.

May Allah accept from all of us. JazakumAllah Khair.

Your brothers and sisters at the ICCCS Board of Education.

‏ "WhatsApp ICCCS Families"
