Your generous donation is much appreciated, as always. ICC Community School depends on tuition and charitable donations to deliver a quality school program. Through the help of Allah (swt) first, and then through fund-raising efforts, we endeavor to keep our fees as moderate as possible.
ICC Community School is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization. All tuition fees and donations are tax deductible. We will provide donor receipts and documentation at year end.
Sadaqah Jariyah increases our reward in the Hereafter because of the perpetual or ongoing benefit it provides people in need in this life. This is important because the Prophet Muhammad, on him be peace, said:
“The best one leaves behind after death are three: a righteous child who prays for one, a Sadaqah Jariyah, the rewards of which continue to reach one, and [religious] knowledge that continues to be applied after him” (Ibn Majah).
“The charity of each one shades him on the Day of Resurrection — a Day in which the sun shall be brought near the heads of people, until Allah passes judgment between them” (Aḥmad).

As-salaam-u-alaikum,
As you are likely aware, on Wednesday, March 11th, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) gave a press conference updating the country on the current status of the coronavirus (COVID-19), as a global pandemic and what steps should be taken moving forward. We wanted to share with you some of the steps our school is taking to prevent the spread of illness across our campus, and plan for the possible spread of the coronavirus in our community.
The LA County Department of Public Health has determined that there is no immediate public threat in Los Angeles at this time. However, given how quickly the global situation is evolving, we are monitoring new developments and will continue to reevaluate our steps and actions daily.
In the meantime, the most effective way to stay healthy and minimize the spread of infectious disease is to follow basic health best practices like:
- Enforcing great hygiene, like washing hands thoroughly and covering up coughs/sneezes.
- Asking all students who are feeling ill to stay home until they recover.
- Please do not bring children with a fever to school.
Our community is prepared to alter our procedures and planning should the situation change. We are also thinking ahead regarding the impact upcoming school trips, and other non-typical school activities will have in the context of the coronavirus. We will communicate any changes affirmatively when the time is appropriate.
It is important to remember that handling the spread of a serious contagion like the coronavirus is primarily a task for public health agencies. Any directives from the World Health Organization, CDC, or local governmental organizations should be followed.
In times like this, we are particularly grateful for the strength and togetherness of this community. Please continue to look for further communications from us on this matter.
Sincerely,
Mayeen Farooqui
Principal, ICC Community School
